Pavement Dressing Conditioner ("PDC") Rejuvenator/Sealer
PDC, the only patented, PDC®, is Pavement Rejuvenator/Sealer, composed of a proprietary blend of refined tar and a maltenous-type petroleum designed to penetrate the surface to restore flexibility to the asphaltic binder. PDC is proven to reduce viscosity, increase ductility and will not crack, peel or delaminate. PDC will stop the loss of fines and extend the life of a deteriorating surface. PDC is highly compatible with porous friction course PFC asphalt used on airport runways is almost entirely asphalt cement and large aggregate by design.
PDC rejuvenates the polymers in the PFC design and enhances adhesion qualities of the binders. PDC protects against contaminants and is extremely fuel resistant. For this reason, PDC is widely used on areas requiring fuel resistance such as airport aprons, fueling areas and truck and automobile parking lots. Since PDC becomes a component of the asphalt, surface freeze/thaw cycles have little or no effect on its performance. PDC provides a uniform, black finish and wears evenly. PDC meets or exceeds FAA Engineering Brief 44 Specifications and qualifies for AIP funding. (A 3-year product performance warranty is offered on PDC Aviation Grade Material).
Crack Sealing
Prior to application of PDC, longitudinal and traverse asphalt cracks need to be cleaned with compressed air and heat, cracks are sealed with hot-pour rubberized sealant to prevent further deterioration.
Parking Lot Painting
AR TECH can layout a parking pattern for new parking lots or repaint existing ones.
Hot Patching Repair
AR TECH installs hot patches to failed pavement. The recommended minimum depth is 4 inches for parking lots and drive lanes in residential and commercial areas. AR TECH will excavate to greater depths and then install a soil stabilization fabric, if required.
Asphalt Overlay
When an overlay is called for, AR TECH installs a compacted depth of not less than 1-1/2 to 2 inches of SM-2A surface mix asphalt. Drainage issues and profile milling are often required to allow water to drain properly following installation of a new overlay.
